Camp Highlights

The Great Escape is a camp for Middle School students, at the Green Lake Conference Center. It’s a beautiful place and last Summer we had such an amazing time there, so on the way back from camp all the students made me promise to go back again the following year.

The Great Escape was the first and is the oldest continually running middle school conference in America today. Founded in 1982 with 300 young people, The Great Escape has grown to 6 different camps and conferences in Florida, Tennessee, Colorado, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Mississippi.

The success of The Great Escape rests in the fact that the teams planning the events understand and know kids. Because so many of them are also full-time church youth leaders, they know that your number one goal for a summer conference experience is for your students to hear the message of Jesus.

Each week is packed full of recreation and activities as well as dynamic speakers, musicians, and other artists who understand how to communicate in real ways with young people.

The Great Escape is a tremendously fun and exciting atmosphere where students feel comfortable and loved, and where they will have the best week of their lives experiencing the love of Jesus!

The Great escape Midwest begins Monday afternoon with registration and is over late Friday night following the final evening program. Housing is provided Friday night, however, we will be having breakfast  on the way back from camp. We’ll be departing Saturday morning by 8:00 AM. And arrive at the church by 11:30 approx.

The sign up is still open now and look out for the fundraiser opportunities to help reduce the costs!

Incoming 6th graders and finishing 8th graders are welcome to join us!

Our desire is to give all students the opportunity to participate in all youth trips & events, we and understand there are times when the cost may be out of reach. For this reason, we have created a Scholarship Fund with the purpose of providing financial assistance to those who would not otherwise be able to attend.

The Scholarship Fund is made possible through donations received from many thoughtful individuals who recognize the valuable spiritual impact that trips & events can have in a student’s life.
